Coursework
The Bachelor's Degree in Biomanufacturing requires 60 units of lower-division courses (years 1–2) and 60 units of upper-division courses (years 3–4) for a total of 120 units.
Prospective students are encouraged to complete an Associate Degree in Biotechnology, before entering the baccalaureate program as a junior,

Application Process
1- Apply for the B.S. in Biomanufacturing by using this link: Application
2. Schedule an appointment with one of our STEM counselors by contacting STEM @lamission.edu.
3. Enroll in your classes.
4. Once you complete the lower division requirements, apply for entry into the upper division by following the steps below.
The Fall 2025 Bachelor of Science in Biomanufacturing Application for Entry to Upper Division (Verification of Lower Division Requirements) will open on October 1st, 2024.
- Application Deadline: Please complete your application form (to open on October 1st, 2024) and submit it with your unofficial transcripts.
- Official Transcripts: After acceptance to the program, you will have 30 days to submit your official transcripts.
Cost
The enrollment fee for the upper-division bachelor’s degree program courses is $130 per unit (for California residents). An estimated total cost of the program (tuition) for California residents is approximately $10,000* for enrollment fees.
Financial Aid is available for qualifying students and may be used to offset these costs. Most of our students receive State, Federal, or private financial aid, or qualify for the Board of Governors' Fee Waiver Program. There are no specific program prerequisites at this stage, meaning you do not need to have completed lower-division courses in biomanufacturing or related fields.

Once admitted to the college, students can begin working on general education and lower-division Biotechnology coursework as part of their pathway to the BS in Biomanufacturing.
Admission Requirements for Students Who Have Completed Lower-Division Coursework:
Students who have already completed lower-division coursework, including required Biotech science courses and general education prerequisites, can apply to enter the upper-division portion of the BS in Biomanufacturing program and have their lower division course work verified.
